LotusTech is an Australian pharmaceutical microbiology company supplying quantitative reference cultures under the VerisQ brand. Our products incorporate NCTC and NCPF reference strains sourced from UKHSA Culture Collections under licence, formulated as lyophilised pellets for non-therapeutic pharmaceutical quality control testing.

We serve pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract laboratories, and research institutions across Australia and internationally, providing authenticated reference cultures with full pharmacopoeial traceability and regulatory documentation.

MicroDome Partnership

LotusTech is a co-founder of MicroDome Labs — a science-driven manufacturer dedicated to microbial control solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in China with an R&D presence in Australia, MicroDome combines global manufacturing capability with agile product development.

As the authorised Australian representative, LotusTech provides local technical support, regulatory guidance, and supply chain management for MicroDome biological indicators, chemical indicators, and reference cultures.

TGA Registration & Therapeutic Goods Framework

VerisQ Reference Cultures

VerisQ reference cultures are non-therapeutic pharmaceutical quality control materials and are not classified as therapeutic goods under the TGA framework. We maintain GMP-aligned quality management practices across all aspects of storage, handling, and supply:

  • Batch-level documentation and COA issuance
  • Cold-chain management for lyophilised materials
  • Documented traceability to authenticated reference strains
  • Quality management aligned to ISO 9001 standards

MicroDome Biological Indicators

LotusTech is the TGA-registered Australian sponsor for MicroDome biological indicators, which are regulated as Medical Device Class 1 products under the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG):

  • ARTG 455431 — VHP Biological Indicator (active since July 2024)
  • ARTG 465729 — Steam & Dry Heat Biological Indicator (active since October 2024)

All MicroDome indicators supplied by LotusTech comply with Australian medical device classification requirements and relevant ISO sterilisation standards.

UKHSA Culture Collections Licence

The manufacturing and supply licence for the NCTC strains used in this product has been formally granted by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

LotusTech holds a Material Licence Agreement with UKHSA Culture Collections (Porton Down, UK) covering the following authenticated reference strains used in VerisQ products:

  • NCTC 12924 — Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • NCTC 12923 — Escherichia coli
  • NCTC 12935 — Clostridium sporogenes
